The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.

Jennifer Cassita Norman. Registered Member of BACP

The passion for the work I do stems from my own history as a client and the positive outcomes I've experienced as a result. My belief is that experience shapes you and a journey moulds you into the person you need to become. Even if it is not apparent at the time, negative as well as positive encounters in life shape you for the better.

I began my academic training in the field of community mental health care and addiction where I became a certified addiction therapist (CAC). After which I progressed onto a four year BACP accredited degree in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and qualified in 2001. I work in accordance with the BACP's Ethical Framework.

I have over 18 years experience of working in the NHS where my placements included: Avon and Wiltshire Partnership Mental Health, King's College Hospital and I am currently working for CAHMS NHS and undertaking a post-graduate degree.

As a Therapist and Life Coach, I run my professional practice with an ethos inspired by the power of therapeutic relationships and personal development and the achievements and growth that transpire as a result.

I believe my own experiences enable me to recognise the courage that is needed to be drawn upon when approaching therapy as a first step towards change - an achievement in itself.

A huge part of my work is Recovery Coaching - whether it’s families in need of support, individuals battling addiction or adapting to a career change. Those who inspire us the most are the ones who have faced similar fears to our own and go on to accomplish great things. We feel connected to the beauty of their authenticity and inspired because we see in them what is possible for ourselves.

Always remember... you have the power to make each day your masterpiece.
